FAQ
Does rotating lose quality?
No — 90° rotations and flips only move pixels around, they never resample them. The only re-encode happens once, when the file is saved in your chosen format.
Why only 90° steps — can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
This tool does clean quarter turns and mirrors. Free-angle straightening slightly crops and resamples the image, which is a different trade-off — it may arrive as its own tool later.
What is the difference between flip and rotate?
Rotating turns the image around its center; flipping mirrors it, like looking at it in a reflection. Flip H swaps left and right, Flip V swaps top and bottom — handy for mirrored scans and layout mockups.
Can I rotate many photos at once?
Yes — drop or select multiple files and hit “Download all (ZIP)”. The same rotation and flip applies to every image, and each keeps its own dimensions. Everything still runs locally.
